Our History

Oxford Building Company's roots sprouted right here on Long Island. As one of the most thriving areas in the construction industry, there isn't a better place to contribute to the expansion of structural development than in New York. This is what Nicolas Daly and James Violante had in mind when they made the decision to advance their construction careers into more than just simply building a structure. Oxford Building Company was founded on solid ground with one thing in mind: the mission of the builder should not only be to build a structure, but to bring to life a client's vision of that structure. This is vital throughout the entire construction process, from preconstruction all the way to the final strides of the project. We strive for client satisfaction, whether that be taking the time out to answer any and all questions from our clients, or proposing a cost-effective plan to fit a client's budget, and time-schedule. These values have helped us grow into one of the most prolific full-service construction teams, stretching all the way from Montauk to Manhattan.

Nick began his career in construction early on in the fire protection field and has years of experience under his belt regarding construction management and client communication. Nick oversees all daily business activities, essential management employees, as well as construction schedules, to ensure that all projects contracted with Oxford Building Company are completed on time, within the client’s budget and to the highest quality available in the industry.

President

As a veteran in the construction industry, James Violante is the one of the main elements that makes Oxford Building Company one of the most recognized and prolific general contractors in the New York area. Born and raised on Long Island, James has witnessed first-hand the transition of the area from small suburban towns to widely-developed, intricate cities. Not only has he experienced the development of Long Island, but serving as a proud member of the New York City Fire Department, has watched Manhattan expand vastly over the past few decades. With these constant developmental changes within the construction industry in mind, James established a company that could not only meet those needs, but one that would excel beyond the highest levels of professionalism and integrity in the industry itself.

Joe has over 30 year’s experience in the construction industry, which began in the fire protection field many years ago. He has been part of every task imaginable in the building process, and wanted to take his knowledge and skills to a higher level than solely one trade. Joe uses his years of hands-on experience to now manage the details of each and every Oxford Building Company project.

Liam has over 20 year’s experience in supervision, coordination, scheduling, site logistics, and project phasing, not to mention his extraordinary carpentry skills. He ensures the construction process is moving at a consistent pace, while maintaining the OxfordBC quality standard.
